Most internet service providers include access to the newsfeeds but all access is not created equal.ISP's always log your activity and censor the newsfeeds

Why use a Premium provider?
For the reasons mentioned above Premium provider don't log your activities as it takes up to much resources, and they don't censor what groups are available.They are just an access to the feeds that's it.

Do newsfeeds have popup's etc.?
Short answer no this is not the internet, but a giant bulletin board with millions of messages sorted into thousands of groups.It can seem overwhelming but with a good newsreader you can be very specific in what you see and download.
